how to get there
• BY PLANE
After your arrival in 'Brussels National Airport' (Zaventem)
Follow the direction 'Belgian railways'. The station is in the airport on the -1 floor. Ask for a ticket for a direct train to 'Gent Sint-Pieters' (=main station). Ghent is the first stop after 'Brussels Zuid/Midi' and it takes about 1h15.
•BY TRAIN
from Brussels National Airport [as mentioned above]
You can also catch a train in Brussel Noord - Centraal or Midi (there you have to take the direction 'Oostende' or 'Knokke/Blankenberge'). For more details : HYPERLINK "http://www.nmbs.be/"nmbs.be The Operastudio is at 15 minutes walk from the station.
• BY CAR
Highway E40 Gent-Oostende, exit Gent and then the Gent 'Alle richtingen' exit. At the first traffic lights you turn left [= Sint-Lievenslaan and next Citadellaan]. At the second set of traffic lights follow the signs to Eeklo (along Charles De Kerckhovelaan, IJzerlaan and Godshuizenlaan). Again at the second lights turn right and then right again. This will take you to the Bijlokekaai via Jozef Kluyskensstraat. After 150 m. you can turn right onto the Bijloke site. You will find Flanders Operastudio on your left.
