Flanders Operastudio Vlaanderen is a post-graduate training for young singer-actors with a classical education in music and a special interest in opera and music-theatre. It provides in an intensive preparation for a professional career. During one year and in a small group, the internationally selected students work together on several projects. During three to five weeks they work on specific themes from the large field of vocal music. All projects are supported by courses that focus on the specific content. A group of teachers of world-wide fame will guide the students at all times during this year. At the end of each project, there is a performance in public. In that way the students discover how to develop their skills and become true stage personalities. Flanders Operastudio Vlaanderen also provides in a special program for accompanist-repetiteurs. This program is an ideal preparation for young accompanist-repetiteurs for the opera, the music-theatre and for accompanists. The student-repetiteurs are on a permanent base brought in to contact with the praxis of singers. They take part in the projects and are accompanied by a singing-teacher, and coaches. Under the supervision of their teachers, they play an active role in the projects. Flanders Operastudio Vlaanderen is an official educational program organized by the Flemish Government of Education and provides in an official diploma.
